Compact 3D Printed Camera Cap Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I'm looking for an expert 3D designer who can create a project file for a plastic cap to protect my small camera setup. This cap will need to be easily attachable and removable, while protecting the camera from potential harm. The design must be compatible with 3D printing technology since it is intended to be printed at a library's 3D printing facility:
- The Ideal Candidate: You should have knowledge and experience in 3D design and 3D printing technology, specifically working with common library materials
- Design Brief: The designed cap should off protection for a small-sized camera. Make it intuitive to secure onto and remove from the device.
- Material Flexibility: The material for printing is not specified, it will be whatever is available at the printing location. Your design must work efficiently regardless of the material used. Please provide a design flexible enough to maintain its functionality with PLA, ABS, or TPU.

This is an adapter that sits on the front of my lens, but it prevents me from putting the standard lens cap back on. I need something that can easily be screwed in and out of that opening in the field. The overall dimensions of the opening are approximately 8.5mm or 3 1/4 - 3 1/2". I just need a basic piece of black round plastic with external threads that I can screw into that opening. Looking for 2-3 caps total, but I can print them locally if I have the design file. That's pretty much it. Thanks.
