We are seeking a skilled freelance interior designer to collaborate on the selection of furniture style, soft furnishings, and lighting for a classic new build project. This opportunity involves creating a sophisticated and cohesive interior that complements the timeless architectural design of the home.
Our client is constructing a new build residence characterized by classic architectural elements such as elegant moldings, high ceilings, and traditional craftsmanship. The interior design focus will be on enhancing these features with carefully curated furniture, luxurious soft furnishings, and exquisite lighting solutions.
Scope of Work:
Furniture Selection: Curate a selection of furniture pieces that align with the classic architectural style of the home. This includes sofas, armchairs, dining tables, beds, and other key furniture items.
Soft Furnishings: Design and select soft furnishings such as curtains, drapes, rugs, cushions, and upholstery fabrics that add texture, comfort, and elegance to each room.
Lighting Design: Develop a lighting plan that enhances the architectural features and creates ambiance throughout the home. This includes selecting chandeliers, sconces, lamps, and other decorative lighting fixtures.
Integration of Design Elements: Ensure seamless integration of furniture style, soft furnishings, and lighting with the overall interior design concept and architectural layout.
Budget Management: Propose a budget-conscious approach while maintaining a high standard of quality and luxury in the selection of furniture and furnishings.
Collaboration and Communication: Maintain regular communication with the client and project stakeholders to ensure alignment with expectations and project timelines.
Deliverables:
Mood Boards and Visual Presentations showcasing proposed furniture style, soft furnishings, and lighting selections.
Detailed Specifications and Purchasing Recommendations (preferred place for furniture purchasing is Foshan, China) for each item selected.
Fabric and Material Samples for soft furnishings and upholstery.
Lighting Plan and Fixture Specifications.
Budget Proposal and Cost Estimates for furniture, soft furnishings, and lighting.
Final Presentation and Installation Oversight to ensure all selected items are implemented according to plan.
Timeline:
The project has already commenced and due for completion in December 2024. Milestones and deadlines will be established in collaboration with the selected freelance interior designer to ensure timely delivery.
