Church Lounge Redesign Plan
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m combining two existing classrooms into one open-concept lounge that will serve as our church’s relational hub for coffee, conversation, and next-steps gatherings. The wall is already scheduled for demolition and the flooring will remain as is, so what I need now is a thoughtful interior plan that turns the enlarged footprint into a cozy and welcoming space.
Key details you can build on:
• Ambiance: the room should feel warm, informal, and inviting rather than overly polished.
• Seating: couches and tables are already on hand; your concept should show how to arrange them effectively and suggest any complementary pieces that maintain flow without crowding.
• Tech: two wall-mounted TVs must be integrated into the layout with clear sightlines and hidden cabling in mind.
• Zones: please define relaxed lounge areas, a coffee/refreshment station, and an area called Next Steps for visitors at church
Deliverables I’m looking for:
1. Scaled floor plan illustrating furniture placement, circulation paths, and TV locations.
2. Mood board with color palette, lighting ideas (ceiling lights staying in place), wall treatments, and accent décor that reinforce the cozy vibe.
3. Itemized specification sheet for any new furnishings, lighting fixtures, or décor pieces you recommend, including links or SKU numbers when possible.
4. Simple 3D render or annotated sketches (SketchUp, Revit, or comparable) so our volunteer team can visualize the finished look.
I’ll be available to answer questions quickly and can supply current room measurements and photos right away. If you’ve transformed institutional spaces into welcoming lounges before, I’d love to see examples.
