Cert III Stair Railing Weld
Budget: $10 – $1,200 AUD
I need a qualified Certificate III / First Class welder to attach a 4.8-metre steel railing to an existing outdoor stair flight. The brief is deliberately straightforward—simple, functional lines only—so the focus is purely on strong, tidy welds that can handle the elements and regular foot traffic.
All steel, fittings and basic consumables will be waiting on site; bring your own welding rig and safety gear. I did not lock us into MIG, TIG or stick, so choose whichever process you feel will deliver the cleanest, most durable results on location.
Scope of work
• Position and secure the railing accurately along the full 4.8 m run
• Complete all welds, ensuring full penetration and neat finishing ready for paint or galvanising
• Quick grind‐back and touch-up where needed—no rough spatter left behind
• Final inspection with me before sign-off
Acceptance criteria
– Railing sits true, level and square to the stair stringers
– Welds show no visible porosity, undercut or cracking
– Site left clean of swarf, off-cuts and slag
If you hold the right ticket, can turn up with the correct gear and can guarantee a rock-solid result, let’s lock in a time.
