Cast mold German Gepard Tank
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I am seeking a skilled freelancer to assist me in creating a cast mold for a replica model of a German Gepard Tank.
Purpose of the Cast Mold:
- The purpose of the project is to create a replica model of the german gepard tank. A solid model should be created of the tank, which fits on the provided 3 D scan of the robot mower. Additionally a cast mold of the model should be designed. Tower, vessel and chains need to be separate cast molds. Tower is inserted into the vessel and should be removable by hand later on. The chains can be fixed via screws later on the vessel model. Due to this, 3 different moulds should be designed (tower, vessel and chain).
The molds will be used to cast a resin positiv part of the tank, which will be later on used for thermoforming 1,5 mm PETG sheets to the final tank geometry.
Points of attention:
- CAD Model of the tank should fit on the vertical facec of the scanned mower (geometry of the tank should be largely retained)
- Next step: moulds for tower, vessel and chain created ---> ensure that the cast models can be removed from the mold again (detail features of the tank can be adjusted to ensure propper demold)
- Ensure dimensions (observe tower dimensions after thermoforming -- should be able to be inserted into the opening of the vessel)
- Antenna, radar dish and gun barrels need not be included in the mold. These are produced later via 3D printing
- Model can stop approx. 5 cm before the floor
Preferred Material:
- I would prefer the cast mold to be made using 3D printing technology. Thererfore no shells, only solid construction.
Desired Size:
- The desired size of the cast mold should be able to fit on a 3D scanned robot mower model.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience in 3D printing and mold making.
- Ability to work with 3D scanned models.
- Attention to detail and precision in creating accurate replica models.
