Camper Trailer
Budget: $8 – $15 AUD
Building a prototype camper trailer (overlander) which will require chassis design, composite/metal panels/roof, electrical/water routing, weight distribution, frame design and installation. There will be doors, slides, foam cutouts for cutlery etc and preferred through chassis connection for wiring. Simulate offroad impact on loads and ensure the design is efficient in cost, material, construction time whilst the product can be trusted and depended on by the user to not fail.
The expectation is that the fabrication, composite (if chosen method) and other materials can be built to design and installed efficiently with no minimal second.
I am continuing to write the scope/spec requirement including the preferred size and weight envelope. This will include certain pre-defined COTS products to be installed.
Its also important the product is not only designed for the manufacturer but also for maintenance. Consideration needs to be made for how assemblies can be replaced efficiently with minimal time and all items are accessible. What we don't want is the electrical system (dcdc charger, ac/dc charger, inverter) requiring a contortionist to access them!
