CAD design
Budget: $50 – $100 USD
I am looking for a CAD designer to assist with a 3D modeling design project. The design requires 3D modeling, and I have some measurements available if needed. My preferred software is AutoCAD. The designer must have extensive knowledge of CAD design and be able to satisfy my standards by completing the project accurately and efficiently. I'm eager to see creative and innovative ideas from the designer; thus, excellent communication skills are critical for an efficient workflow.
Project Outline
"A pen-like device with a retractable portion to sheath/un-sheath a microbrush used in dentistry"
In certain applications, the drop of liquid held on a microbrush stains clothes/tables and tastes bad. This single-use device would allow a dental operator to load the microbrush into the pen-like device, expose the brush head to dip it in the liquid, then retract into the device when moving from the work table to the tooth. Once in the mouth, the dental operator can un-sheath the drop-carrying microbrush to apply the medicament to the tooth. They can then retract the brush head once more to exit the mouth and prevent stains or taste issues. In addition, while a straight object would be OK, one of the nice things about microbrushes is that they can be bent- often times the bend gives the operator a needed angle to access hard-to-reach spots in the mouth. The dental operator should be able to retract/extend the microbrush using 1 hand without excessive jostling to the drop of liquid held on the microbrush.
