CAD Design for 3D Printed Portlights for 1975 O'Day 27 Sailboat
Budget: $125 – $250 USD
I have a 1975 O'Day 27 sailboat, and I need to replace the portlights (windows) on both sides. I'm looking for someone to create accurate CAD files of the frames for 3D printing. Since most 3D printers cannot handle dimensions over 30 inches, the frames can be split into two 15-inch sections for easier printing and assembly during installation.
I have cut out the old plexiglass windows. The frame will have a groove in which I will insert the new plexiglass at installation time.
The port side frames are mirror images of the starboard side, so after completing one CAD file, I'll need corresponding mirror image files as well.
Due to the intricate details of these frames, I prefer working with someone located in the San Diego area so we can arrange to meet in person once the project is awarded. This will allow you to work directly with the part in hand and get any additional clarification needed.
I will handle the 3D printing myself unless you also have access to a suitable printer and would like to do the printing as part of this project.
Looking forward to your bids!
