CAD Design for Mobile Unit Including Electrical Control Panel
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
We are seeking an experienced professional to design (reverse engineering and upgrading) metal enclosures for electrical applications. These enclosures will be both stationary and mobile and used in various settings. The designs must be created in 3D and include detailed material lists.
We need the final project CAD files in DFX with all measurements for production/manufacturing start and a 1-minute 3D animation to showcase the product as realistically as possible.
Mobile Unit Specifications:
• Mobile unit on wheels with a tripod design to level the cabinet when positioned. The design must ensure that the retractable legs are neatly concealed under the metal enclosure and are easy to extend (practicality is key). The current design in the photos is aesthetically unappealing.
• The mobile unit must be lightweight, highly mobile, and easy for a single person to move.
• The unit needs to have retractable or foldable handles for easy movement, which can be folded back for transport and storage.
• Two large wheels suitable for rough terrain.
• The backplate must be removable to install materials or an external electrical cabinet, including options for different ATEX control panels if required.
Possible ATEX cnotrol panels to draw:
Option1*
Option2*
Option3*
Option4*
For the electrical enclosure with components, we do not expect the components to be individually drawn, but there should be a visual representation to indicate the presence of electrical components. The electrical enclosure frame itself must be accurately drawn to actual dimensions. (ATEX and NON ATEX example)
Rear Side Design Options:
1. A door with a robust lock behind which an ATEX or non-ATEX electrical cabinet can be installed (one door and a door or a cover).
2. A rear panel that looks like a solid metal side but has four locks at the corners. Once the panel is removed, an electrical cabinet with a door or panel can be installed behind it.
Front Side Requirements:
• A status light indicating:
o Green for power on (220V)
o White for UPS active
• ON/OFF industrial switch
• Provision for a 220V industrial plug (EU) on the side (similar like on the picture)
• A passthrough to allow cables to enter the cabinet without damage or moisture ingress.
• A central telescopic mounting pole on top of the cabinet, with a mounting plate/bracket for two cameras and an antenna.
Additional Features:
• The top cover of the mobile unit must be made of one or two pieces, allowing easy access to internal
parts when working behind the manometer or front panel.
• Two lifting eyes attached to the top of the cabinet, reinforced to prevent damage when loaded.
• The telescopic pole must be designed so it does not obstruct when the rear door is opened or the rear panel is removed.
• Internal materials, electrical, and network components need to be DIN rail mountable and drawn out, including the electrical enclosure.
• The frame must be lightweight but robust enough to support the load and facilitate lifting via the lifting eyes.
• The metal cladding will be powder-coated.

Intercom/Badge Box:
• Mounted centrally (easily) on the pole (and should have an easy removable system)
• Removable box with serviceable devices, drawn in CAD with a removable lid.

• Paxton P50 - Link will*
• Beacon/Sounder - Link*
*** Requirements ***
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3D.
• Proven experience in electrical design and product design is an advantage.
• Ability to deliver original digital files in 1D, 2D, and 3D CAD formats.
*** Deliverables ***
• Detailed 1D, 2D, and 3D drawings of the metal enclosures.
• Comprehensive material lists for the designs.
• An as-built dossier for the metal construction.
• All files must be provided in their original digital formats.
• Include animations, renders, and design for manufacturing.
• All drawings need exact dimensions and parametric modeling.
*** Project Steps & Timing***
1. Drawing and electrical components (in 3d after start):
- 3D files
- 2D technical drawings
- Bill of material list
2. Drawing with electrical components (5d after start)
3. Renders for manufacturing (3d after start)
4. Production files (7 after start)
5. Photorealistic high-resolution renders (minimum 10) (3d after start)
6. Montage and product animation (minimum 1 minute) (4d after start)
If you have the required experience and skills, we would like to hear from you. Please provide examples of similar projects you have completed.
More specific details will be provided during project discussions.
