CAD/CAM Mech-Electrical Drafting

Job ID: 40413658

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

We are hiring a CAD/CAM Designer or Mechanical and Electrical Drafter to support a range of technical projects on a remote, project-based basis. This role is suitable for candidates with 0–5 years of experience, and applicants with strong academic or project-based experience are encouraged to apply.

We are a technology-focused team delivering end-to-end solutions across design, engineering, and software for global clients.

The role involves working across multiple project types, including commercial electrical drafting, converting point cloud data into 2D AutoCAD drawings, 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor, and refining mechanical components for production. You will be responsible for preparing electrical service layouts and lighting plans, generating material takeoffs, converting scan data into accurate floor plans and elevations, and producing clean, well-structured CAD files.

Projects may include converting hand sketches into AutoCAD or Revit drawings, working with electrical systems such as 800A, 400A, and 200A services, processing point cloud data into precise 2D drawings, creating 3D models such as product components or furniture in Inventor, and updating existing drawings to production-ready standards with proper dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.

This is a project-based engagement where tasks will be assigned one at a time. After successful completion of initial projects, additional work will be provided based on performance and quality. There is strong potential to transition into a consistent, long-term role and become an ongoing part of our team, as we have a continuous pipeline of projects.

We are looking for candidates with working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D drafting and electrical layouts), basic Revit (MEP), point cloud processing, Autodesk Inventor, and mechanical drafting principles including tolerances and standards. Familiarity with industry standards such as BS or ASME and good file organization practices is important.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable handling a variety of drafting and modeling tasks. Experience with furniture or product modeling, utility coordination, or change tracking is a plus but not required.

When applying, please submit your resume along with a portfolio showcasing relevant work, including academic, personal, or internship projects.
