Blender Animation of Rigged Clothed Person

Job ID: 36847466

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

Project Description:

We are looking for an experienced Python and Blender professional to develop a command-line based system that can realistically render and animate 3D human models in Blender. The candidate will leverage their skills in 3D animation and scripting to merge various sets of data to create a high-quality, visually appealing animation.

Responsibilities:

Develop a Python program that takes as input a 3D human model (SMPL-X format), along with associated hair, skin, and facial data.
Incorporate a model of a clothing garment, complete with its characteristics such as type, mesh, keypoints, UV, material, bitmap, etc.
Blend these different elements to produce a realistically rendered animation.
The animation should depict the human model performing a pre-set walking cycle in a pre-set environment, with the desired output length of less than 30 seconds.
Ensure the clothing on the human model does not appear to be bitmapped on the body mesh, but realistically fits and moves as the rigged model progresses through the animation.

Skills and Experience:

Strong experience in Blender and Python scripting for automation in Blender.
Previous experience in 3D animation, particularly human animation, and clothing simulation.
Good understanding of 3D model file types, especially SMPL-X.
Familiarity with keyframe animation and rigging in Blender.
Experience in realistic clothing simulation on 3D human models.
Strong understanding of UV mapping, textures, and materials in Blender.
Experience with rendering optimized for short animation clips.
Problem-solving abilities to deal with complex 3D models and scripts.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and deliver on time.
