Architectural Shop Drawings for Wood Doors
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have three custom wood doors that must be approved by the architect, so I need a complete architectural shop-drawing submittal set. Each sheet has to show every dimension and critical measurement the reviewer will ask for—overall size, stile and rail widths, jamb details, clearances, and required tolerances. Please call out the wood species and any other material specifications directly on the drawings; that information cannot sit in a separate note.
The deliverable I expect is a neat, construction-ready PDF package (DWG originals, too) laid out to standard architectural page sizes. Elevations, plans, sections, and enlarged details should be clear enough for both the architect and the millwork shop to read without further clarification.
I have a template or preferred title-block. I’m not asking for installation instructions at this stage, but leave space on the sheet in case the reviewer requests that later.
Accuracy is critical—these doors go straight to fabrication once we have the architect’s stamp—so double-check all dimensions before submitting the final files.
