Architectural Drafter for Planning Department Submittal

We are seeking a drafter to help organize and prepare a full set of architectural plans for submittal to the planning department. We will supply the material.

Responsibilities include:

Organize Plans

Compile one complete set of plans for the planning department, including:

Sections & elevations

3D views

Site plans

Floor plans

Garage plans

Roof plans

Tables of:

Units

Open space / amenities / recreation

Landscaping

Storage space

Commercial space

Density bonus requirement verbiage

Format & Scale

Set up plans in 11x17 and 3x2 large formats.

Change all plans to full floor scale.

Standard scale: The scale for full page will be 1/16in = 1ft

Zoomed-in scale for individual units: quarter scale (1/4” = 1 ft).

Include corner thumbnails showing the location of each unit within the building.

Placeholder / Space-Holding

Not all material will be available immediately.

Create placeholders for missing content; once materials are received, transfer them into the set.

File Management & Adjustments

Work with provided DWG files.

Make small adjustments as needed to integrate new materials and maintain consistent formatting.
