ASRS Special Machine Design
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m building a special-purpose machine dedicated to material handling—specifically an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). I have the functional concept defined and now need a mechanical designer who can take it from idea to ready-for-manufacture documentation.
You’ll be responsible for the full mechanical layout: frame, racking interface, carriage or shuttle, lift mechanism, and drive selection. Expect to think through load paths, safety factors, maintenance access and, where useful, integrate off-the-shelf components to keep the build practical.
SolidWorks, Inventor or a comparable 3D CAD package is fine as long as the output is neutral-format compatible (STEP/IGES). Finite-element checks on critical members are a plus, but the core need is a clean, buildable design that a fabricator can quote without guesswork.
Deliverables I’ll be looking for:
• Complete 3D assembly model
• Manufacturing drawings with tolerances and GD&T
• Itemised BOM with supplier specs or equivalents
