ANSYS Workbench Simulation of a Deployable Composite Boom (Coiling, Creep Hold, and Controlled/Uncontrolled Deployment)
Budget: $70 – $140 USD
I need an experienced ANSYS Workbench user to simulate the coiling and deployment of a deployable composite boom. The task is to model the full process in ANSYS — including coiling around a hub, holding it for a period to capture creep strain, and then performing two deployment scenarios: one uncontrolled (free) and one controlled dynamic deployment.
I already have Abaqus codes and simulation videos from a similar study.
⚠️ These will be provided only as references to illustrate the modeling approach — the material properties, geometry, and conditions will be updated according to the new data I provide.
You will also receive:
Geometry of the boom (or you can create it yourself if preferred)
Updated material properties (different from those in the Abaqus reference)
Relevant papers and videos showing similar simulations
