Stylized 3D Animation & VFX

The project is a stylized 3D animated short film created purely for entertainment, and I need the full animation pipeline brought to life—from concept layouts through final composite. All work must stay within a stylized look rather than photorealism, so a strong sense of design and exaggerated motion is essential.

You’ll be free to choose the tools you know best; Maya and Blender are already in the current workflow and Houdini or After Effects can slot in for VFX and compositing if you prefer. What matters most is delivering polished character animation, expressive lighting, and seamless effects that feel cohesive with the art direction.

Key deliverables
• Fully rigged characters and environment assets in a clean, well-layered scene file
• Animation passes (blocking, splining, final) exported in an agreed format
• VFX elements—particles, smoke, energy bursts—integrated and rendered with proper AOVs
• Final 4K render plus an edit-ready EXR sequence with separate beauty, shadow, and matte layers

Acceptance criteria
1. Motion reads clearly and stays on-model throughout every shot.
2. Lighting and VFX enhance the mood without obscuring character performance.
3. All files open error-free in the listed software and follow consistent naming conventions.
