Utility Patent Drawings for Mechanical Free-Reed Instrument (Black & White)

Project Description

I am preparing a utility patent filing (US + Canada) for a novel free-reed musical instrument.
I need a freelancer to prepare professional patent drawings based on existing hand sketches and reference images.

Important:
This role is illustration only.
No design, no engineering decisions, no reinterpretation.

Scope of Work

Convert provided hand-drawn sketches and digital reference images into clean, black-and-white patent drawings

Figures will include:

Isometric exploded views

Internal chamber views

Slide-plate logic states

Drawings must be USPTO / CIPO compliant

Reference numerals and captions will be provided or reviewed by me

Requirements (Must-Have)

Experience creating utility patent drawings

Familiarity with USPTO / EPO / CIPO drawing standards

Ability to follow reference material exactly

Black-and-white line art only (no shading, no gradients)

Preferred / Strong Asset

Prior work on mechanical or electromechanical patent figures

Portfolio examples of filed or published patents (PDF or images)

Experience with exploded views and internal component labeling

(If you have done patent drawings before, please mention it clearly in your bid.)

What You Will Be Given

Hand-drawn sketches

Reference digital images

Figure list and numbering scheme

Written descriptions for each figure

What You Should NOT Do

Do not redesign or “improve” the mechanism

Do not change geometry or component order

Do not add stylistic elements

Do not interpret missing details — ask instead

Deliverables

Black-and-white patent figures (PNG or PDF)

Clean line weight, consistent perspective

Numbered callouts only (no text inside drawings)

Budget & Timeline

Budget: ~$300 CAD

Milestones:

First figure as paid test

Remaining figures after approval
