Floor Truss Modification for Elevator
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a modification of existing wood floor trusses in a residential building to accommodate an accessibility elevator shaft.
open web trusses will be shortened to make room for elevator shaft. The modification drawing needs to show open web truss (18 inched tall) being cut at the new load bearing wall and reinforced by 5/8 plywood on the last open web. The plywood screwed down with #10, 2 1/2 inch screws 6" on center.. Load bearing wall will take the weight of upper floors, the truss will function the same way as original just shorter and on a new load bearing wall. examples attached, ask questions, need it rightaway to keep building
