Advanced Steel Shop Drawings
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I’m looking for a detailer who can take my architectural and reference drawings and turn them into fully coordinated shop drawings for a small-to-medium single-storey building. These drawings are for shop construction and site erection, so every column, beam and rafter must be shown with complete structural information, right down to material specs, finish notes and connection details.
You will work exclusively in Autodesk Advance Steel. At hand-over I need two things: a clean set of plotted PDFs ready for workshop and site, and the native Advance Steel model and drawing files so my engineer can review or edit them later. Additionally, you must supply DXF files of all plates and connections that can be laser cut.
I will supply:
• Architectural plans, elevations and sections
• Standard drawings that spell out the code requirements and typical details we follow
Using those, you’ll generate:
• Set-out plans with gridlines and clear reference dimensions
• Member schedules and call-outs that match the fabrication marks
• 1:10 or tighter details for end plates, cleats, bracing and any welded or bolted joints
• Clear notes on coating and finishing per the supplied standards
Accuracy and clarity are critical—our site crew will build directly from these sheets—so dimensions must close, sections must align and every reference must be cross-checked. If something in the architectural package is ambiguous, flag it early so we can resolve it before you draft.
