3d printable re-creation of my grandfathers boat.

Job ID: 40240898

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m putting together a special birthday present for my father: a scale model of the wooden boat my grandfather built back in 1965. My father spent most of his life sailing on this ship. I can handle all the fine hand-finishing myself, but I need a solid foundation to start from.

What I need from you
• 3D-print-ready mesh of the hull that follows the original lines as closely as possible—this is the portion that must be spot-on.
• Separate, moderately detailed geometry for the deck, mast, and railings. These don’t have to be museum-grade; clean, printable forms with correct proportions are perfect for me.
• File format STL.

References you’ll receive
Over twenty photos plus a basic three-view drawing with full dimensions. I’ll also be on hand to answer any follow-up questions about shapes or joinery details.

Scope notes
• Minor surface tweaks, fillets, or small deck features that slip through are fine—I expect to do some manual cleanup before painting.
• No need to model interior spaces or rigging beyond the single mast.
• Mesh should respect common print constraints (minimum wall ~1 mm, no non-manifold edges).

When you respond, please include samples of past work that show comparable marine hull modelling or similar.

I look forward to collaborating and bringing this family heirloom back to life in miniature.
