Traditional Arabic Patio Design

I am developing a private outdoor courtyard and need a complete design package that captures the warmth and elegance of a traditional Arabic patio. The priority is the concept and detailing—I will handle construction separately once the design is finalized.

Core vision
The space should feel authentically regional, with proportion, geometry, and material selection all reflecting classic Arabic sensibilities. The single must-have feature is finely detailed arabic screens that create patterned shade, privacy, and dramatic light play throughout the day. Other traditional elements such as a small water feature, tile-work, or arches can be suggested if they strengthen the overall composition, but the screens come first.

What I expect to receive
• A scaled layout and furniture plan (PDF / DWG)
• Mood board and material palette showing colours, finishes, and references
• 3D perspectives or renders (SketchUp, 3ds Max, Lumion—use whichever you prefer) that clearly illustrate the ambience both day and night
• Detail drawings and specifications for the arabic screens (including recommended materials and fixing method)

Practical notes
Measurements of the courtyard and site photos are ready to share as soon as we start. Please keep the design realistic to build, with locally available stone, timber, and tiles wherever possible. Files should be organised so my contractor can extract dimensions directly from the CAD drawings.
