Streamlined STP Tool Redesign
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I already have a partially-completed STP model of a small hand tool, but the factory tells me the current file is too large. I need the file rebuilt so it stays compact while also incorporating a few tweaks we identified.
The design is a human hand more or less. So that is the type of details I will be looking to improve on. As well as functionality and no weak points.
What I will provide:
• The existing STP file for reference.
• Current drawings and any other information you may need to confirm dimensions.
What I need back:
1. A fresh, clean STP file that opens quickly and keeps file size low enough for standard manufacturing software.
2. Dimension updates—please increase the overall length and increase the width.
3. General design-detail improvement: sharpen small radii, tidy up fillets, and ensure all edges and faces knit without gaps.
4. (Optional but appreciated) The native CAD file from the package you use, so future edits are easier.
Accuracy is critical; I’ll run the new file through the factory’s checker before sign-off. Let me know which CAD platform you prefer, how soon you can turn this around, and any questions you have after reviewing the existing model. Thanks!
