SolidWorks Robotic Arm Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I already have a reference image of an educational-purpose robotic arm and now I need the full 3D model recreated in SolidWorks. I’m aiming for an intermediate level of detail: every part should be properly defined and assembled, but the complexity can stay reasonable so the file remains easy to manipulate in class demonstrations.
Key functional requirement: the arm must include space, mounting points, or cavities for built-in sensors (think limit switches, basic proximity, or similar classroom-friendly components). Other advanced elements such as gripping mechanisms or highly complex joint kinematics are not priorities for this stage, so you can keep the geometry focused on the sensor integration and clean articulation.
Deliverables
• Native SolidWorks assembly and all part files
• Exploded view and motion study showing the sensor-enabled joints in action
• A short PDF with screenshots and a bill of materials so students can understand each component’s role
Send the work in a version compatible with SolidWorks 2020 or later so I can open and tweak it if needed.
