SolidWorks 2017 Precision Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have an existing concept that I know can be improved, but every step of the redesign must be done strictly in SolidWorks 2017—no later versions, no cross-compatibility work-arounds. I will provide the precise measurements and my current proposal files as soon as we start.
The main priority is ease of manufacturing: the finished model should minimise machining setups, reduce part count where sensible, and avoid features that complicate tooling or mould creation. While aesthetics naturally matter, they come second to a design that can roll straight from CAD into production.
To keep us aligned, here’s what I need from you:
• Native SolidWorks 2017 files (.sldprt / .sldasm) and fully detailed 2D drawings
• Any supporting calculations or design tables that drive parametric features
• A brief note on manufacturing considerations you applied (material choice, tolerances, draft angles, etc.)
I’m happy to iterate quickly—just send over screenshots or lightweight previews for feedback before locking the final geometry. If you have questions about my dimensions or proposed function, flag them early so we solve potential production issues while still in CAD.
