SolidWorks 3D Model & Drawings

Job ID: 40079861

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I have a component concept that now needs to be turned into a clean, fully-parametric SolidWorks 3D model, followed by detailed part drawings suitable for internal documentation. All geometry must be built natively in SolidWorks; no imports, meshes, or plug-ins—just solid, well-constrained features that tell a clear design story when another engineer opens the file.

Here is what I expect:

• One native SolidWorks part file (.sldprt) structured with meaningful feature names and design intent.
• A matching part drawing (.slddrw) laid out on an A3 sheet, complete with orthographic views, section views where helpful, fully-toleranced dimensions, and a tidy title block.
• A PDF export of the drawing so the non-CAD folks on my team can review it quickly.

The drawing’s purpose is documentation, not manufacturing, so focus on clarity rather than tight GD&T. I will supply hand sketches and critical dimensions at kickoff and I’m happy to screen-share for twenty minutes to walk through questions. When you deliver, I’ll open the model, rebuild it, and verify that no external references are broken; the drawing should update automatically if I tweak a dimension.

If you have a mechanical engineering background and can work comfortably in SolidWorks 2020 or later, I’d like to see a quick note on similar jobs you’ve completed and a sample drawing that showcases your standard of detail.
