SolidWorks 2022 Automotive Surface Modeling
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need an experienced SolidWorks 2022 user to create highly accurate, Class-A style surfaces for an automotive component I’m developing. The job is focused solely on detailed surface modeling; all underlying sketches, reference geometry and functional requirements will come from me. Your task is to translate those references into clean, fully parametric surfaces that will hold up to curvature analysis and downstream manufacturing checks.
To keep the workflow smooth, please tell me about projects where you have handled complex automotive surfaces or similarly demanding geometry in SolidWorks 2022 (or a very recent version). I’m particularly interested in challenges you solved around tangency control, zebra stripes, or managing boundary conditions between multiple surface patches.
Deliverables
• Native SolidWorks 2022 part file (.sldprt) with feature tree intact
• A brief note on any critical surface decisions or assumptions
• STEP file for cross-platform review
Acceptance criteria
• Curvature continuous (C2) transitions at all visible class-A interfaces
• No rebuild errors or suppressed features in the final part
• Deviation from provided reference curves <0.2 mm across the surface
