Sofa & Dining Layout Design

I’m finalizing the plans for a large vaulted-ceiling room that will serve as both living and dining space, and I’d like a fresh, professional eye on how to position the sofas, occasional chairs, and a full-size pool/dining table for the best use of space. Part of the room is open to the double height vaulted ceiling while another has a mezzanine floor above and a lower ceiling height. I am planning to install a log burning stove.

What I need from you: a clear, furniture-scaled floor plan showing optimal traffic circulation; at least one 3D perspective (SketchUp, Revit, or similar) so I can visualise ceiling height relationships; and a short rationale explaining why each zone sits where it does. If you suggest alternates—say, two seating configurations or a swap between table orientation and sofa grouping—please note the pros and cons of each.

I already have the room’s footprint with window and door locations as a PDF; I’ll send that the moment we start. Measurements in either metric or imperial are fine. My goal is to have a layout that feels inviting for everyday lounging yet easily accommodates larger gatherings without the furniture feeling ad-hoc.
