SketchUp Modeling from Point Cloud Scan

Job ID: 39897754

Budget: €200 – €400 EUR

Project Description:

I’m looking for an experienced 3D modeler to create a clean, accurate, and fully editable SketchUp model (.SKP) based on an existing point cloud scan of a property.

The scan covers:

The exterior of a residential property (main house + surroundings)

One interior section of the middle unit

The end goal is to produce a well-organized and editable SketchUp file that can be used as the foundation for further architectural development, material studies, and design modifications.

This means:

Clean, continuous surfaces (no overlapping or fragmented faces)

Proper grouping and layering for easy editing

Accurate geometry based on the point cloud

Attention to facade details and architectural features

No need for rendering or textures beyond basic material separation

Provided Files:

.LAS point cloud file (exported from FJD Trion P1 system)

Reference photos and notes (available upon request)

Note: Raw SLAM data (.FJD) is also available if required, but the .LAS file should be sufficient for processing.

Deliverables:

1 fully editable .SKP file (organized by layers/groups)

Geometry must accurately represent the building exterior and terrain

Ready for architectural modification and design development

Requirements:

Experience working with point clouds (.LAS, .E57, .PLY, etc.)

Excellent understanding of SketchUp modeling standards (grouping, surfaces, hierarchy)

Proven track record with architectural reconstruction or as-built modeling

Optional but appreciated: experience with FJD Trion P1 or similar LiDAR/SLAM devices

Budget:

Up to 400 USD, depending on experience and portfolio quality.

Timeline:

15 Days

How to Apply:

Please include (MUST):

A short description of your experience with point cloud to SketchUp workflows

Examples of previous as-built / point cloud reconstruction projects

Confirmation that you can deliver a clean, organized, and editable .SKP model
