Sensory Learning Tools for Toddlers

I’m developing a small line of sensory resources that help toddlers build independence through play. My top priority is learning-focused support, so every item in the collection should guide young children in understanding routines and exploring cause-and-effect on their own.
The core pieces I need designed are:
• Visual schedules that use clear icons and sturdy, toddler-safe materials.
• Tactile learning toys that invite squeezing, pushing, or sliding to reinforce fine-motor skills.
• Simple interactive items (lights, sounds, or movement) that trigger only when a child’s action completes a task, rewarding self-directed exploration.
All concepts must meet these standards:
• Age-appropriate safety (rounded edges, non-toxic, choke-free components) and durability for daily classroom or home use.
• Easy-clean surfaces and colours that resist fading.
• Compliance with EN71 or equivalent child-product regulations, documented in the final hand-over.
Deliverables:
1. Sketches or 3-D mock-ups for each item, including dimensions and material notes.
2. A short user guide that shows how each tool supports autonomy and learning goals.
3. A manufacturing-ready file set (CAD or similar) plus a concise bill of materials.
4. Testing checklist referencing relevant safety standards.
If you already work with child-centred design software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Rhino, please mention it; familiarity with Montessori or sensory-integration principles is a bonus.
I’ll review initial concepts within a week of delivery and provide consolidated feedback so we can move quickly to final files.
