Senior Obstacle Course Engineer & Ninja / OCR Course Designer (From Concept to Build-Ready Blueprints)
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
I’m developing a high-energy obstacle course specifically for competitive events and need a seasoned designer who can guide the project from initial concept sketches all the way to build-ready blueprints. The layout must challenge athletes with a balanced mix of climbing, balance, and raw-strength features while still flowing smoothly for race timing and spectator viewing.
Here’s what I’m after:
• A full site plan showing obstacle sequencing, run lanes, and safe spectator zones.
• 3D visualisations I can present to sponsors and permitting authorities.
• Detailed construction drawings (steel, timber, rigging, foundations) ready for fabrication teams—delivered in CAD formats such as AutoCAD or SketchUp plus PDFs.
• A concise bill of materials and basic load calculations that comply with common OCR safety standards.
Your background designing commercial-grade OCR, Ninja Warriors, or military-style courses is essential. When you respond, focus on the experience that proves you’ve taken similar projects from blank page to opening day—links to past builds, highlight reels, and any governing-body certifications are welcome.
If you thrive on turning wild competitive concepts into precise, buildable reality, I’m ready to collaborate and break ground.
We are looking for a top-tier engineer + professional obstacle course designer (or a small expert team) who can take this project:
From 0 → Concept → Engineering → Simulation → Construction-Ready Drawings
This person/team must deliver fully buildable, safe, tested, and optimized obstacle courses.
Scope of Work
You will be responsible for 12 different obstacle courses, including:
* Full competition stages
* Qualification stages
* Final stages
* Modular and transportable systems
For each obstacle and each course, you must deliver:
✔ Concept design
✔ Difficulty balancing (not too easy, not impossible)
✔ Full CAD drawings (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Fusion360 or similar)
✔ Structural & mechanical load analysis
✔ Safety & risk analysis
✔ Bill of Materials (BOM)
✔ Manufacturing drawings
✔ Assembly & disassembly instructions
✔ Transport & modularity planning
✔ Real-world build feasibility validation
Deliverables (Mandatory)
You must deliver:
* Complete CAD / DWG / STEP / SolidWorks files
* Full engineering drawings ready for manufacturing
* Load & stress simulation reports
* Safety compliance & risk analysis documentation
* Full BOM (Bill of Materials)
* Construction & installation manuals
* Versioned and documented designs
This must be a turnkey engineering package ready to be sent directly to a fabrication factory.
Required Profile (Do NOT Apply If You Are Not This)
We are ONLY looking for:
✔ Senior Mechanical Engineer / Structural Engineer / Industrial Engineer
✔ Proven experience in real-world obstacle course, ninja, OCR, theme park, or large mechanical structures
✔ Strong CAD & simulation background
✔ Experience with human load, dynamic load, impact forces
✔ Experience designing for public use & athlete safety
✔ Portfolio with real built projects (not just renders)
Strongly Preferred Background
* Experience with:
* Ninja Warrior courses
* OCR courses
* Theme park mechanical structures
* Sports engineering structures
* Climbing / parkour / training facilities
* Experience working with:
* Fabrication workshops
* Steel / aluminum structures
* Modular transportable systems
Project Type
* Real-world, high-budget, multi-month engineering project
* Not a concept or visualization job
* Long-term cooperation possible for future seasons
Budget
We are looking for top quality, not cheap work.
Budget range: $10,000 – $30,000+ USD(depending on experience, team size, and scope)
How We Will Select You
To be considered, you MUST provide:
1. Portfolio of real, built engineering projects
2. Your role in those projects
3. Which software you use (CAD / Simulation)
4. Your engineering background
5. Any experience with OCR / Ninja / sports structures
6. Optional: A short proposal on how you would approach this project
Important Note
If your experience is only:
* 3D modeling
* Visualization
* Concept art
Please do not apply.
We need real engineering and real construction-level design.
What You Get
* High-profile national project
* Long-term partnership opportunity
* Future seasons & international expansion
* Serious budget & serious production
Final Line
We are building a national-level competition platform, not a YouTube prop.
We are looking for real engineers and real builders.
