Road & Villa Pad Layout Designer – Hilly Terrain

Job ID: 39703197

Budget: $500 – $800 USD

We have a 113-acre (45 ha) hilly property in a tropical region with heavy seasonal rainfall.
Terrain includes ridges, small peaks, ravines, and small rivers.

We will provide full topographic data from a professional RTK drone survey:

1 m DEM (bare earth, GeoTIFF)

Orthophoto (5–10 cm)

1 m & 2 m contours (DXF/SHP)

Slope map (GeoTIFF)

Property boundary & key features (SHP/DXF)

Scope of Work:

Design an all-weather road network connecting the property entrance to 4 villa pads (one per mini-peak).

Keep sustained grades ≤10%, short bursts ≤12%.

Add switchbacks where needed with minimum inner radius 12 m (SUVs).

Minimize cut/fill, avoid >20% slope areas.

Include basic drainage/culvert points (no structural engineering).

Design level villa pads tied smoothly into the terrain.

Deliverables:

Plan view (PDF) with road alignments, curve radii, key stations, and villa pads.

Profiles (PDF) for each road segment showing grades, elevations, and curve tables.

Centerlines & pads in DXF/SHP for CAD/GIS.

Google Earth KML/KMZ for 3D viewing.

Cut/fill volume estimates per road segment and pad.

Required Skills:

Demonstrated experience designing roads and pads on hilly terrain from DEM/contour data.

Proficiency in Civil 3D, Carlson Civil, or Softree RoadEng.

Ability to work with GeoTIFF DEMs, DXF/SHP contours, orthophotos.

Understanding of drainage design for high-rainfall environments.
