Rhino Ship Concept Models

Job ID: 40498286

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m preparing an educational module on naval architecture and need two conceptual ship models created in Rhinoceros 3D:

• A medium-size passenger ferry driven by an electric propulsion package. The external shell should be modelled to a moderate level of detail—windows, decks and overall form clear—but without full interior outfitting. Inside, I only need the electrical machinery space laid out at a similar, moderate level: batteries, electric motors, basic switchboard and cabling routes in their correct relative positions.

• A VLCC crude-oil carrier. This model is purely an external study piece, again at moderate detail. Hull, deckhouse, machine , cargo manifold and general deck equipment should read correctly, but piping and fine fittings are unnecessary.

For both ships, please select an appropriate block coefficient, length-beam-draft ratio and general body form that suit their respective missions. I’m not tied to any particular classification rules or bespoke guidelines—sound industry practice is enough.

Deliverables
– Two native .3dm files, one per vessel
– Exported IGES or STEP copies for reference
– Simple viewport screenshots showing principal dimensions and the chosen Cb

Acceptance
The files should open error-free in Rhino 7, surfaces must be watertight, and hydrostatic properties should roughly match the selected Cb values when checked with Rhino’s mass properties tool.

That’s all I need to move the teaching material forward. As long as i have a model on rhino does not matter what methods you use.
