Residential Steel Connection Design
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I’m looking for a structural engineer who can create a basic set of steel connection models for a residential building using Idea Statica. At this stage I only need an initial, code-compliant design—no exhaustive calculations or construction drawings yet, just the clean connection setup with governing checks exported from the software.
Scope
• Model the primary connections typically found in light-steel residential framing (for example, beam-to-column or beam-to-beam joints—feel free to suggest the most practical mix).
• Use Idea Statica to run the default checks and share the native file along with a concise PDF summary of utilisation ratios.
What I’ll provide
• Member sizes, material grades and basic framing layout in DWG or PDF.
• Applicable design code.
Deliverables
1. Idea Statica connection files (.idea).
2. One-page PDF for each connection showing geometry, load cases and utilisation.
3. A short note highlighting any areas that may need refinement in later detailed stages.
This is a lean, early-stage task aimed at validating the concept, so please keep proposals focused on the essentials and a quick turnaround.
