Remote Hovercraft Plane Prototype Design
Budget: £18 – £36 GBP
I’m developing a remote-controlled aeroplane that can lift off, cruise and then settle to the ground in hovercraft mode. The goal right now is a proof-of-concept model built primarily from aluminum, kept deliberately simple so I can move quickly to patent filing and investor presentations before scaling the idea to larger and even passenger-carrying versions.
What I need at this stage is a set of clear, manufacturable drawings and 3-D views that live on paper or PDF only—no physical build yet. The package has to show how the airframe integrates hovercraft skirts/ducting, indicate basic control linkages for remote operation, and stay mindful of aluminum’s weight-to-strength characteristics. Accuracy matters because these drawings will form the backbone of my patent submission and the financial pitch that follows.
Deliverables
• 3-D paper/PDF drawings of the full model, including plan, side and sectional views
• A concise bill of materials focused on readily available aluminum stock and off-the-shelf RC components
• Brief explanatory notes highlighting the hovercraft mechanism and how it differentiates the design for patentability
Completion of these items will let me approach financiers with confidence and move straight into prototyping.
