Task 1 - Find product materials and manufacturing method, Poster A2
Select any one complex product i.e. washing machine, vacuum cleaner, helmet,
Brief intro about the product
Find out different materials used in the product (external and main internal parts) and the manufacturing
process used to produce each part. give proper reasoning.
Try to connect the used scenario of the product and the material properties required for it.
Suggest any alternative materials that can be used where ever possible to improve functionality,
aesthetics, or for any other reason.
Make an A2 size poster including all the details.
Task 2- wooden pattern making
Make good sketches of patterns in perspective and orthographic with dimensions.
Consider the draw direction of mould, and other pattern design considerations for vacuum forming.
Make pattern using wood
Document all the process of pattern making
Constrain
● Height should be under 100 mm and length should be under 200mm. Grading criteria

Task 3- Sheet metal model making
Make a product in the Fusion 360 using sheet metal. (size should be around 1ft to 2ft)
Unfold it and make a technical drawing of the product (flat view).
Use proper scaling as per requirement (the physical model should be around 1ft to 2ft in size)
Create file card mock-up (template) for reference and make required changes if needed.
Use the template or drawing to work on sheet metal (aluminum or MS 1 mm thick or 20 gauge)
Make a model using sheet metal. you can use rivets, nuts and bolts, screws etc.
Click process photos and final model photos from multiple directions and add them to the presentation.
Need to submit a sheet metal model also.

For the Computer aided industrial Design Resit brief the student needs to complete all
the :
1. Previous assignments from their section’s CAID Google Classroom uploaded by
respective faculty.
2. Create and submit the below model using solid model in Fusion 360 and extract
the technical drawing of all individual parts in FUSION 360

3. Create any one of the models from the list given below with technical drawings
included of either 1st angle projection/ 2nd angle projection. Also include the
parts like buttons, dials etc. (Show the assembly and movement as well)

- Game controller
- Vacuum cleaner
- Humidifier
- Electric air blower
