3D-Printed Mosquito Trap Design

I need a compact, fully 3D-printable enclosure that lures mosquitoes with light, funnels them inside, and keeps them there until I empty the chamber. The trap has to be suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, so rain splashes, curious pets, and easy cleanup all matter.

Here’s what I’m after: the body should print on a standard FDM machine (220 × 220 × 250 mm build volume or smaller), assemble without glue, and house a low-power LED lure plus a small USB fan or similar airflow source. Once drawn in, the insects must be unable to escape—think one-way flap, tapered tunnel, or mesh barrier—yet I still need quick access to the catch cup for disposal and cleaning.

Deliverables
• Native CAD file (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or STEP) and print-ready STL
• Simple assembly diagram showing LED, fan, and power routing
• Print guidelines: orientation, infill, filament type, and any post-processing notes
