3D Printable Drone Props
Budget: $50 – $0 AUD
I’m working on a TV series and need a set of convincing, non-functional drones that look great on camera yet can be 3D printed in parts. I need the complete digital models—think STL—cleanly sliced into printable parts, each one already checked for wall thickness and overhangs.
Because they’ll be used as movie props, the visuals matter more than perfect aerodynamics; they just have to read as “real” on screen. I do, however, want a hint of interactivity: simple, snap-fit movable parts such as rotors that spin. Nothing sophisticated—basic movement is fine, so long as the parts stay in place during action shots.
If you normally work in Rhino, Blender, Fusion 360, SolidWorks or a similar CAD package, that’s perfect. Please keep tolerances in mind so I can print on a standard 3D printing machine without excessive post-processing. Once the modelling is done, hand over the native project files plus printer-ready exports.
