Portable Sawmill Blueprint Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a portable sawmill and need a complete set of documents that will let me (or any competent fabricator) move straight from drawings to construction and safe operation.
Scope
• Blueprints & Schematics – detailed construction plans showing frame, track, carriage, blade mounting, engine placement, and safety guards. Drawings must be fully dimensioned and ready for fabrication in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
• Material Specifications – a clear bill of materials listing steel profiles, fasteners, power unit requirements, bearings, and off-the-shelf components with grades, sizes, and recommended suppliers.
• Operational Guidelines – step-by-step start-up, cutting, maintenance, and safety procedures tailored to this design.
What I’ll consider complete
1. A PDF drawing package plus editable CAD files.
2. BOM in spreadsheet form.
3. Illustrated user manual (Word or PDF) covering setup, calibration, and routine service.
Please let me know your relevant experience with sawmills or industrial machinery design, which CAD tools you’ll use, and your estimated timeline for first drafts and final revisions.
