PCB Enclosure Design for 3D Printing
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Project Description:
We are developing a custom PCB (printed circuit board) and require a professional enclosure design that perfectly fits the board layout and socket placement. The design must be screwless, easy to assemble, and suitable for both 3D printing and aluminum sheet bending fabrication methods.
Requirements:
• Custom enclosure that fits the provided PCB dimensions and socket positions exactly
• Tool-less assembly: No screws or fasteners — use snap-fit, click-lock, or press-fit mechanisms
• Easy to open/close for PCB removal or maintenance
• Internal guides or holders to keep the PCB securely in place
• Two separate design versions:
• One for 3D printing (FDM/PLA or similar)
• One for metal sheet bending (aluminum or galvanized sheet)
• Deliverables:
• STL files and render images for 3D print version
• STEP files + 2D technical drawings (with bending lines, dimensions, and labels) for metal version
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience designing enclosures for PCBs, IoT devices, or industrial equipment
• Knowledge of both 3D printing and sheet metal fabrication constraints
• Proficiency with CAD tools like Fusion360, SolidWorks, etc.
• Strong balance of functionality and visual aesthetics
We Will Provide:
• STEP file of the PCB
• Full documentation of socket dimensions, positions, and orientations
• Reference photos (if needed)
Deliverables:
• STL, STEP, DXF files + render visuals
• Short assembly guide (with images or simple PDF)
Timeline:
• Delivery expected within 7 days max
