2D Outline To 3D Relief
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a clean 2-D outline for a decorative wood panel—available to you as an Inkscape SVG or a high-resolution JPEG, whichever you prefer. I now need that outline converted into a true 3-D relief file that can go straight to my CNC router.
The entire surface should feature varying depths rather than a simple raised border. I’m looking for a natural, well-balanced topography: some elements should sit proud, others recessed, so the finished piece feels sculpted, not stamped. You have room for creative judgment here, and I’m happy to jump on a quick call or share screenshots to fine-tune the highs and lows before you lock the model.
Please work in whatever package you’re most comfortable with—Blender, Fusion 360, Vectric Aspire, ZBrush, etc.—as long as the final deliverable is a watertight STL (STEP or OBJ as an optional extra) suitable for tool-path generation on a standard 3-axis CNC.
Deliverables
• 3-D relief model of the panel in STL format
• One revision round to adjust depth levels after first preview render
• Screenshot or short viewport video showing the relief from multiple angles for approval
Acceptance criteria
• Model matches the original 2-D outline with no geometry distortions
• All features have clearly defined, machinable depth transitions
• File opens error-free in Fusion 360 and Vectric VCarve for tool-path setup
If this sounds like a project you’d enjoy shaping, let’s get started—I’m ready to send over the SVG/JPEG right away.
