Job ID: 40401399

Budget: £10 – £20 GBP

## Project Brief – Retail Store Design (Nuts & Nostalgic Foods)

### 1. Project Overview

I am planning to design a **small retail shop specializing in nuts, nostalgic foods, and nostalgic candies**. The goal is to create a space that is **visually inviting, easy to navigate, and commercially effective**, while evoking a **sense of nostalgia and familiarity**.

---

### 2. Shop Dimensions & Structure

Please base the design on the following fixed dimensions:

* **Length:** 574 cm
* **Width:** 462 cm
* **Height:** 323 cm

**Front Façade:**

* Full **glass façade**: 462 cm (W) × 323 cm (H)
* **Glass entrance door:** 90 cm (W) × 200 cm (H)
* The façade must remain **transparent**, allowing visibility into the shop from outside.

---

### 3. Core Design Concept

The store should reflect a **nostalgic foods and candies theme**, combined with **modern retail organization**.

Key atmosphere goals:

* Warm, slightly **vintage-inspired feeling**
* Clean and **well-organized supermarket-style layout**
* Emphasis on **product visibility and accessibility**
* Strong **visual attraction from outside the shop**

---

### 4. Layout Strategy (Very Important)

#### A. Central Element (Anchor)

* An **L-shaped nuts counter** must be placed on the **left side**, close to the glass façade.
* This counter is a **key focal point** and should have a premium look (e.g., dark green finish).
* It should support **customer interaction, weighing, and service**.

---

#### B. Circulation & Customer Flow

The layout must clearly support two paths:

1. **Primary Path (Main Customer Flow):**

* Located on the **right side**
* Wide and comfortable for browsing
* Guides customers from entrance → along wall shelves → to the back feature wall

2. **Secondary Path (Service / Quick Access):**

* Located between the **counter and glass façade (left side)**
* Narrower path
* Used for **quick purchases and staff movement**

Flow concept:

* Customers naturally move along the **right aisle**, explore products, reach the back, then loop back toward the counter.

---

### 5. Fixtures & Product Display

#### Wall Shelving

* Use **white supermarket-style wall shelves**
* Module size: **100 × 35 cm**
* Main shelving length: **225 cm** along the long wall
* Purpose: display **packaged nostalgic foods and candies**

---

### 6. Functional Zoning

Clearly define these zones:

* **Display Zone (Walls):**
Packaged nostalgic foods and candies, with a **grab-and-go beverage fridge located at the end of the shop**

* **Service Zone (Counter):**
Fresh nuts, weighing area, and customer interaction

* **Feature Zone (Back Wall):**
Bulk nuts and specialty nostalgic products (should act as a visual destination)

---

### 7. Experience & Visual Priorities

* From the entrance:

* The **counter on the left** should be immediately visible
* The **right-side aisle** should feel open and inviting
* The **back wall** should act as a visual focal point

* Lighting:

* Highlight products clearly
* Enhance colors and textures (especially nuts and candies)

* Materials & Colors:

* Balance between **modern clean finishes** and **warm nostalgic tones**
* Avoid overly complex design—keep it practical and buildable

---

### 8. Key Expectations from Designer

Please provide:

* 2D layout plan (with dimensions)
* 3D visualizations (key perspectives: entrance, aisle, back wall)
* Material and color suggestions
* Clear positioning of:

* Counter
* Shelving
* Circulation paths
* Beverage fridge

---

### 9. Priority

The most important aspects are:

1. **Clear customer flow**
2. **Strong visual identity (nostalgic + clean retail)**
3. **Efficient use of space**
4. **Attractive product presentation**

---

If anything is unclear, the priority is to maintain:

* **Counter on the left**
* **Main movement on the right**
* **Strong visual pull toward the back of the shop**
