Modern Mild Steel Railing Design

I need a complete design package for mild-steel railings that will serve two areas of my home: the interior staircase and the exterior balcony. The aesthetic I’m after is distinctly modern—clean, minimal sightlines, slim profiles—yet everything must still satisfy standard residential safety codes for both indoor and outdoor use.

Because the railings will be painted, I’d like joints detailed so welds are discreet and surfaces are ready for a smooth spray finish. Please factor in typical site conditions (concrete balcony slab, timber stair stringers) and note any special anchors or brackets you recommend.

Deliverables
• Fully dimensioned fabrication drawings (plan, elevation, sections, and details)
• A 3D model or rendered views for visual approval
• Material, hardware, and coating specifications, including paint system and colour call-outs
• Basic installation notes highlighting anchor types, bolt spacing, and on-site adjustments

Acceptance Criteria
• Drawings match provided site measurements within ±2 mm
• All posts and infill respect minimum 100 mm gap code requirements
• Balcony rail height ≥1 m; stair handrail height 900–1000 mm
• Files supplied in PDF and editable CAD (DWG or similar)
