Modern Kitchen & Pantry 3D Redesign
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Hello,
I am looking for an experienced interior designer / interior architect / kitchen designer to collaborate on a client-owned residential redesign project.
The project is focused on redesigning several connected residential spaces:
- Kitchen
- Butler’s pantry
- Walk-in pantry
- Utility / laundry room
- Possible mud room area
The client has already provided detailed requirements, existing drawings, measurements, reference examples, and a clear direction for what they want. I have also prepared a simplified project brief and organized the key materials to make the review easier.
To be fully transparent, this opportunity is currently in a client project / competition-style format. My role is to analyze suitable client projects, prepare a clear brief, organize the requirements, and connect the right design specialist with the opportunity.
I am not asking for a full unpaid design package at the beginning.
The first step would only be:
1. Review the brief and project materials
2. Prepare a focused 2D layout direction / first draft floor plan
3. Suggest practical improvements for kitchen workflow, storage, pantry access, laundry/utility planning, appliance placement, and circulation
The client specifically wants a clear and functional 2D floor plan first before moving into photorealistic renderings, elevations, or final CAD/PDF documentation.
If the first layout direction receives positive feedback and the project moves forward, the full package may include:
- Refined 2D floor plan
- Interior elevations
- 3D visuals / renderings
- Final CAD/PDF presentation package
The listed total project budget/prize is $900 USD for the accepted full project package. The payment structure or percentage split will be agreed clearly before any design work begins.
My suggested collaboration model is:
- You handle the architectural / interior design, layout planning, and visual design work
- I handle project filtering, brief preparation, client requirement analysis, communication support, and process coordination
- If the project is successful, the result/payment is shared based on our agreed split
Important note:
At this stage, I may not be able to open a guaranteed full milestone for the entire project before the client reviews and positively considers the first 2D layout direction. The continuation depends on the client’s feedback and project acceptance.
However, I want to be clear that I am not expecting a complete unpaid project package. The first step should be limited, focused, and realistic: a strong 2D floor plan direction to evaluate the project’s potential.
The preferred design style is warm modern / transitional. The color direction should stay neutral, warm, and timeless — warm whites, beige, taupe, light greige, soft wood tones, natural stone/wood textures, and a clean practical residential feel.
Ideal candidate:
- Experienced in residential interior design
- Strong in kitchen and pantry planning
- Able to create clear and practical 2D floor plans
- Good understanding of storage, circulation, appliance placement, and daily workflow
- Able to continue with 3D visualization if the project moves forward
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable with client-focused design requirements
When applying, please include:
1. Relevant examples of kitchen, pantry, laundry, or residential layout work
2. Your estimated timeline for a first 2D layout direction
3. Whether you can also provide 3D visuals/renderings if the project moves forward
4. Your preferred collaboration/payment structure
5. Whether you are comfortable with the first step being a limited 2D layout direction before the full package stage
If you usually work only with guaranteed upfront payment or full milestones, I completely understand. In that case, please mention your preferred structure in your proposal.
I am looking for someone who can review the brief carefully and help create a strong first 2D layout direction that gives the project the best chance of moving forward.
Thank you.
