3D Model Creation for Automotive Product Configurator (Staggs Platform)

We are an offroad accessories company looking to enhance customer usability on our website by offering an interactive 3D configurator experience. Customers will be able to select their specific vehicle, customize the color to match their own car, and visualize how our offroad accessories will look on their vehicle before making a purchase. This allows customers to see exactly what products will look like on their own car, improving their shopping confidence and experience.
Project Overview:
We need an experienced 3D modeler to create a detailed 3D model of a Toyota Landcruiser 300 Series with various offroad accessories for use with our Staggs configurator (https://staggs.app/) on our WordPress/WooCommerce website. We will handle the Staggs plugin implementation and product setup ourselves - we only need the 3D modeling work.
How It Will Work:
Customer selects their vehicle (starting with Landcruiser 300 Series)
Customer chooses their vehicle color to match their actual car
As customers browse and select products (bull bars, roof racks, etc.), the items are added to the 3D model in real-time
Customer can visualize exactly how the accessories will look on their own vehicle before purchasing
Scope of Work:
3D Model Development:
Create a detailed 3D base model of a Toyota Landcruiser 300 Series using provided reference images
Model must support multiple color options so customers can match their own vehicle color
Create 3D models of offroad accessories including:
Bull bars
Roof racks
Ladders
[Other offroad accessories as shown in provided images]
All models must be in GLB/GLTF format compatible with Staggs platform
Ensure models are optimized for web performance while maintaining visual quality
Models must allow for smooth integration and realistic rendering when accessories are added/changed
Accessories must look realistic and accurate when placed on the vehicle model
Reference Materials:
Base vehicle and accessory images are attached to this job posting
All necessary visual references will be provided
Future Opportunity:
This is a trial project to find the right 3D modeler for ongoing work. Once we identify the ideal candidate, there are over 200 additional vehicles that will need to be completed using the same process.
Required Skills:
Expert-level 3D modeling (Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, or similar)
Experience creating models in GLB/GLTF format for web use
Understanding of web optimization and poly count management
Experience with automotive modeling (preferred)
Experience with product configurators or e-commerce visualization tools (preferred)
Portfolio demonstrating realistic vehicle or product modeling
Deliverables:
3D model files in GLB/GLTF format ready for Staggs implementation
Base vehicle model with color-change capability
Individual accessory models that can be added to the base vehicle
Source files in your native 3D software format
Basic documentation of model structure and naming conventions
Please include in your proposal:
Portfolio showcasing relevant 3D modeling work (especially vehicles or products)
Experience with GLB/GLTF format and web-optimized models
Estimated timeline for completion of the Landcruiser 300 Series project
Your rate for this initial project and potential per-vehicle rate for future work
