Milk Taxi calf 3D2D Design & Automation
Budget: $2 – $19 USD
I am looking for a mechanical engineer / 3D designer, preferably with experience in mechanical design, electric drives, simple automation, and basic electrical systems.
The project is to modernize a 120-liter milk taxi for calves— a plastic tank similar to the one shown in the attached photo.
Scope of work:
- create a complete 3D design of the device,
- design and add mounting brackets / supports for the plastic tank,
- review the current design and improve any existing parts if needed,
- design a milk mixing system / agitator,
- design an electric wheel drive system** using one or more electric motors,
- select the proper drive system considering the total weight of the full tank, frame, and new tires,
- design a milk heating system,
- add a water flow meter,
- solve the issue of emptying the tank so the milk can be pumped out completely,
- suggest a way to increase milk filling speed / improve milk flow rate
- prepare technical solutions for an electrician,
- it would be a big advantage if the freelancer also has electrical knowledge.
Important:
This is a workshop-style project. It does not need to look beautiful or polished. The most important thing is that it is practical, strong, simple to build, and reliable for farm use.
Parts can be selected from the European market or from China. I can order components from China if they are cheaper and reasonable quality, for example motors, controllers, pumps, flow meters, heaters, wheels, power supply parts, etc.
Requirements
- experience in 3D mechanical design,
- knowledge of mechanical constructions,
- ability to select motors, pumps, heaters, flow meters, and electrical components,
- practical approach — the design must be possible to build in a workshop, not just look good on paper.
