Medical Plastic Injection Mold Design
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
I am taking a small, consumer-facing medical product to volume production and now need a complete plastic injection mold engineered for it. The part files are ready in SolidWorks and I want a mold that will run reliably in a standard two-plate press or multi plate while meeting medical-grade cleanliness and dimensional requirements.
You will start from my approved part geometry and handle everything through to tool-ready drawings: cavity–core layout, gate and runner strategy, balanced cooling, ejector selection, draft optimisation and surface finish spec. Please keep wall thickness uniform and eliminate undercuts that could trap bio-residue; the finished parts must eject flash-free and be easy to wipe down.
Deliverables
• 3D mold design in SolidWorks 2022 (plus neutral STEP/Parasolid)
• Fully detailed 2D machining drawings with tolerances and call-outs
• Mold-flow simulation report covering fill, pack, warp and cooling
• Material & component BOM (tool steel, standard DME components, surface finish codes)
• One revision cycle after my review
Acceptance criteria
• Simulation shows complete fill and <2 % warp
• Cycle time target ≤ 25 s on a 70 T press
• Design follows ISO 10993 material recommendations for medical contact surfaces
If you are comfortable marrying tight medical tolerances with cost-efficient consumer production, I would like to hear how you would approach the tool and see samples of similar molds you have designed.
