Industrial PCB 3D Case Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have an industrial-grade PCB that needs a custom enclosure modelled directly in SketchUp. The job is to create both the main case and a removable top, ready for 3D printing. I will provide the Pcb 3d object .
One important note, Pcb should be mounted on din rail.
Key functional openings:
• USB ports
• Ethernet port
• Relay port
Each cut-out must line up perfectly with the mating connectors once the board is seated on its standoffs. Internal ribs, bosses or spacers should keep the PCB firmly in place while allowing natural airflow around hot components. Wall thicknesses, fillets and snap-fit or screw-down details are up to you as long as they respect the clearance figures I will supply.
Deliverables
1. Native SketchUp (.skp) file with organised layers/components
2. A brief note listing print orientation and any suggested tolerances
Acceptance criteria: the board fits without forcing, all three ports are flush and usable, and the parts can be printed on a standard 200 mm × 200 mm FDM machine with minimal support.
If you have recent examples of tight-tolerance enclosures in SketchUp, a quick screenshot will help me gauge compatibility with the project’s constraints.
