Industrial Manufacturing Animation
Budget: €5,000 – €10,000 EUR
Project Brief - Photorealistic Engineering Animation
HydroFoamer GRP + Polyurethane Installation System
We are seeking an experienced industrial 3D animation studio to produce a photorealistic, technically accurate animation of the HydroFoamer pipeline installation method.
This is not a generic explainer video. It must accurately represent civil engineering, pipe installation, soil interaction and polyurethane expansion behaviour at a professional level suitable for regulators, utilities, energy developers and institutional investors.
The animation will be used in technical presentations in Canada and Europe (hydropower, geothermal and energy infrastructure sectors).
⸻
Scope of Work
The animation should clearly and realistically depict:
1. Trench preparation in native soil
2. Placement of GRP pipe (e.g. DN800–DN1000 class)
3. Spigot-and-gasket joint assembly
4. Injection of two-component polyurethane
5. Controlled foam expansion around the pipe
6. Formation of a structural support envelope
7. Load dispersion into surrounding soil (compression and shear zones)
8. Native backfill reinstatement
9. Final buried configuration with structural load visualization
The sequence must include:
• High-quality trench and soil rendering
• Realistic material behaviour (GRP, polyurethane foam, soil)
• Clean sectional cutaways showing structural mechanics
• Visualisation of load paths and stress dispersion (engineering-style overlays)
• Optional inclusion of bend stabilisation / thrust-block replacement
⸻
Deliverable
• 60–120 second high-resolution animation
• Photorealistic rendering (not cartoon / explainer style)
• Subtle technical overlays and labels
• Neutral, authoritative tone
• Suitable for investor decks, regulatory submissions and board-level presentations
⸻
Required Experience
We are specifically looking for studios with experience in:
• Oil & Gas or pipeline engineering visualisation
• Civil infrastructure animation
• Geotechnical or structural animation
• Industrial bid-support animations
This project requires understanding of:
• Pipe pressure classes (PN ratings)
• Joint tolerances and installation mechanics
• Soil-structure interaction
• Expansion materials behaviour
⸻
Technical Skills
• Advanced expertise in Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D or Unreal Engine
• Ability to work from CAD files (STEP / FBX)
• Strong lighting, materials and rendering capability for industrial realism
• Experience creating sectioned engineering views
⸻
What We Will Provide
• 3D CAD models of pipe and components
• Installation sequence documentation
• Material specifications
• Reference photos from live projects
• Engineering notes for structural load visualisation
⸻
Proposal Requirements
Please include:
• Portfolio of relevant industrial or infrastructure animations
• Description of similar engineering projects
• Proposed timeline
• Budget range
• Approach to technical accuracy review
