Hand Sketch to SolidWorks DXF
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’ve attached a hand-sketched control-panel plate that now needs to become production-ready. The task is straightforward but precise: model the plate in SolidWorks, generate a fully dimensioned drawing (PDF), and export a laser-ready DXF.
Key details you’ll see in the sketch
• Holes and cut-outs arranged around the perimeter and centre
• Engraved text and simple graphics called-out for laser marking (provided in supplemental .ai files.
All dimensions may follow standard machining tolerances; nothing unusually tight is required. The part will be cut from aluminum sheet, so design the file with that in mind.
What I will hand over
• Example SolidWorks files, drawings, and DXFs from previous, almost-identical jobs—use them as a style and layer reference.
Deliverables I expect
1. SolidWorks part and drawing files (native format)
2. A clean, print-ready PDF of the drawing with every dimension called out
3. A single-layer DXF suitable for both laser cutting and laser engraving
To confirm you have actually opened the sketch, your first message back must state the panel’s overall width and height exactly as shown. If those numbers are missing, I’ll assume you replied automatically and won’t move forward.
