FBX Axis Slicing to PNG

Job ID: 39810197

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

Description:

I will supply a single .fbx model of a custom capsule design.
Your task is to generate cross-sections on the YZ plane at precise 5 cm intervals, running from the very front of the object through to the back.

Each intersection must be exported as an individual PNG with a transparent background, so I can drop it straight into Photoshop for further layout work.

File Naming Convention:

S.M.A.R.T. Pod_Intersection_00050.png
S.M.A.R.T. Pod_Intersection_00100.png
S.M.A.R.T. Pod_Intersection_00150.png

…and so on, continuing in 50 mm (5 cm) steps until no further geometry remains.
The numeric part must be zero-padded to five digits.

Deliverables:

- A neatly organised folder of PNG slices, correctly named and ordered
- Transparent background, showing only that slice’s contour, no shading or extra geometry

Acceptance Criteria:

- Cuts occur strictly on the YZ plane, spaced every 50 mm
- Each PNG shows only the contour line of that slice, with no resampling artefacts
- All PNGs open flawlessly in Photoshop and are delivered in correct numerical order

Workflow:

1) Contact me in chat to confirm you understood the assignment. I will then provide the .fbx file.
2) Provide me with the first and second slices as a preview. We confirm the style/output together.
3) Continue the work for the entire model and deliver all PNGs in a compressed folder.

Tools:

The choice of tools is up to you — Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, FreeCAD, MeshLab, or a custom Python slicing script — as long as the final deliverables meet the requirements above.
